Well, each of us can get excited about various things, but what people generally enjoy about the start of the hottest season are their gardens and the possibility to work there. Yes, we do like gardening, planting seeds, bulbs, watching them grow, watering them and then, finally, collecting the crop.
The one who has a garden, doesn´t certainly lack a few flowerbeds full of a variety of vegetables or fruits. So what are we used to planting? I guess we can´t do without strawberries, as they are so sweet and mostly children love them. As well as these, currants are pretty popular, especially for the fact that we can have them frozen. Like this, we can enjoy them for the whole year as a part of cakes or pies. Someone grows grapes, plums, peaches, apricots, pears or apples too. Fruit trees can as well need some special care so it is good to know something about this if you want to be a successful „producer“.
As far as vegetables are concerned, there are many types we usually fancy growing. Peas, cucumbers, courgettes, lettuces, carrots or radishes. Herbs or spice can´t be forgotten, so let me mention chives or mint at least.
The fact that one seeds it and it grows up to the delicious crop is very essential. In spite of it, I find it very exciting, beautiful and full of new life, energy and motivation.
That´s what I personally love about the start of summer. Don´t you? 😊

Explain what the following words stand for:
a flowerbed – this is the place for gardening and growing flowers, vegetables and fruits
a pear-kind of fruits (this is a fruit from the deciduous, fruit tree)
grapes (fruit, it has a lot of small balls)
a herb: a medicinal flower. It is convenient to use it against headache or pain of something.
Write down at least ten examples of possibly grown vegetables in the garden.
Int the garden is possible to grown cucumbers, zuchettas, peppers, tomatoes, eggplants, cauliflowers, salad, radish, turnips, broccoli and kohlrabi.
Do the same with fruit.
I am use to growing a lot of types of vegetables. Because we have a large garden in Pilsen. My grandpa has been growing something for his whole life. Currently we have a lot of fruit trees in our garden. For example plumbs, peaches, apples…and of course strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and Canadians blueberries…and for example we grew melon last year. But we weren´t so successful…

It is necessary to water it and take care of it every week. Weave flower bed… and to remove the weeds.

I use it for soups or on bread.

I think that every fruit.

Before coronavirus I had never grown anything. But during crisis I started to learn it. My grandpa has been growing something for his whole life. But I have never interested in the garden, flowers, vegetables….But coronavirus changed everything. I started with gardening…because it is rwlaxing for me, and I like the taste of fresh fruits! And I figure it is heathier than the vegetables from the supermarket. I tried to plant seeds of kohlrabi, tomatoes, dill, carrot etc.
And currently I can observe small plants on my bets. Maybe not so small, tomatoes has had already fruits!
I like gardening so much and it is me new hobbies. 😊
